3i Solutions' management team has years of experience in food product development, product management, sales management and chemistry. This experience is invaluable as 3i Solutions works with its customers in the development of new ingredients and the incorporation of these ingredients into finished products.
Charlie founded 3i Solutions in 1997. He has been President and CEO since the founding of 3i Solutions with overall responsibility for the operation of the business. Charlie’s emphasis has been business development and customer support. Charlie has over 50 years’ experience in consumer product development management with extensive experience with emulsifier/surfactant and fats and oils technologies. Charlie began his career at Procter and Gamble with various increasing management responsibilities in the Soap and Detergent and Food Divisions. This was followed by serving as Director of Product Development for the J.M. Smucker Company.
Charlie received a BSChE from New Jersey Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati.
Charlie is an active member in his church, serving in various positions of responsibility. He also has been on the Board of People to People Ministries, a local non-profit organization that provides assistance to people in need, serving as President and Treasurer for over 30 years, and has also served on the local Planning Commission. Charlie and his wife Mindy have had the privilege to foster a number of teenagers over the years. Charlie enjoys playing golf whenever his schedule allows.
As Director of Product Development, Scott oversees all product development projects from concept to completion and production. Scott has over 20 years of experience in nano- and micro-encapsulation, and has been the lead Product Developer for 3i Solutions since its inception in 1997. Scott’s product development and research experience covers a broad range, including drug delivery systems, cosmetics, nutritional supplements, and functional foods.
Scott received a BA degree from the College of Wooster and two Master degrees from Syracuse University. Scott is an active alumnus of the College of Wooster, where he periodically acts as mentor and research advisor to students.
Scott’s passions outside of 3i Solutions include his involvement in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, and several local charity groups. Every year, Scott and his wife Judy, run off to the French River in Canada for an annual fishing vacation.
